A leading manufacturer of high quality gears. In this application, cutting oil is used in shaving machines. It is delivered to a contact point and re- circulated via media filters.
Problem: The previous filtration system was not able to give the Sub-micron filtration level. As a result, smaller particles continued to be circulated and accumulated between cutter and (gear) which reduced the life of the cutter, oil & the pump.
Solution:
Micromag MM5 was installed along with existing Filtration. It was installed in the circulation flow between the pump and machine. It ensured that the smaller ferrous particles would not accumulate between the cutter and (gear) hence increasing the life of the cutter oil, pump and also there was the improvement in the surface finishing.
Another leading manufacturer of high-quality steel ball-bearing in this application, cutting oil is held in a 14000 Liter holding tank. It is delivered to the contact point and re-circulated via media filters.
Problem: The previous filtration system was not able to give the Sub-micron filtration level. As a result, smaller particles continued to be circulated and accumulated at the contact point. The product rejection rate was high due to scratches on the part surface.
Solution:
Micromag MM10 was installed along with existing Filtration. It was installed in the circulation flow between the pump and machine. The same was done in 4 other machines. It ensured that the smaller ferrous particles would not accumulate at the contact point. As a result rejection rate was minimized.
Opportunities: After being satisfied with the results obtained by the first fitment of the Micromag MM5, they have released an order of 53 more for installation on each of the shaving machines in each of their 3 plants!!
